Mr Manial* is currently in a halfway house serving the remainder of his sentence due to narcotics offences. When Ray of Hope’s caseworkers met with Mr Manial, he spoke about his regret and wanting to turn his life around to be able to take care of his wife and children.
Mr Manial’s wife has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer (Stage 4) and is currently living with his elder daughter and her family. His wife also suffers from epileptic fits and is bedridden. Much of his family’s finances are going toward his wife’s medical expenses.
Give Hope – Help Needed
Mr Manial has applied for a Class 3 driving course to become a lorry driver upon his release. He has also applied for a Barber course and has already completed the Forklift course. He is determined to start work once he is released from the halfway house to be able to support his family and care for his wife.
The 57 year old also has his own medical expenses due to Asthma. He has applied for a CHAS card and is awaiting approval. He also struggles with his transport costs when he has to visit the hospital for his medical appointments
Ray of Hope is therefore trying to raise S$645 (S$215 x 3 months) to defray his medical and transport expenses while he tries his best to turn over a new leaf and take care of his wife.

Keep going! Don't give up. I believe you can turn over a new leaf. Lamentations 3:22-23 God's mercies are new every morning. May God bless you and your family from this day forward. :)
